Who is responsible

Real estate agencies we contact
This section is our information under Art. 14 GDPR for agencies that receive a request from us.
- What data: the agency's business name, its published business email address (for example info@ or contact@), postal address, legal form, and the public data of the listing we ask about (price, town, size, description, photos, reference).
- Source: the agency's own public website.
- Purpose: to ask one time whether we may share a listing, to record the answer, and, if the answer is yes, to publish the listing with credit and a link.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a publication about affordable homes (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you say yes, your answer is also the licence for the photos.
- How long: if you do not reply, we delete your data after 60 days. If you reply, we keep the request and your answer for as long as a post is online plus 3 years, as proof. If you say NO or STOP, we keep only your domain on a do-not-contact list so that we never write again.
- No tracking: our emails have no tracking pixels and no tracked links.
Followers and newsletter subscribers
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address to send it, based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every issue.
Service providers
- Email: Infomaniak Network SA, Switzerland.
- Website hosting: Cloudflare, Inc. (EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
- Database: hosted in the EU.
- Text classification: TypeSafe (listing text only; we remove names, email addresses and phone numbers before any request).
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, and object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. Write to hello@housesforasong.com. To stop all contact, reply STOP to any email from us. You may also complain to your data protection authority, for example the CNIL (France) or the CNPD (Portugal).
Removal of a listing
An agency, owner or photographer can ask us to remove a post at any time. We remove it within 3 working days.
